1983
Janus Associates is founded and begins providing consulting services to companies with internal Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs). By the early 1990s, Janus Associates delivers subcontracted EAP, training and crisis debriefing services to national vendors.
1999
27-year-old employee Dawn Motovidlak purchases Janus Associates with the strategy of repositioning the company as a direct provider of comprehensive EAP and Behavioral Risk Management services for mid- to large-sized groups.

2001
Janus Associates acquires Business Health Services, a highly regarded and national EAP. Business Health Services (BHS) becomes the national trade name of Janus Associates, Inc.
2003
BHS establishes an Organizational Development & Corporate Training division to address increasing demands for assistance in addressing barriers to maintaining mission focus, organizational effectiveness and company profitability.
2005
BHS begins providing health risk assessments, on-site biometric screenings, wellness coaching and on-site wellness activities to help control escalating healthcare costs and help develop healthier employees and workplace environments.

2006
BHS acquires PRIME, Inc., Maryland’s oldest standalone Employee Assistance Program.
2008
BHS introduces a comprehensive web-based wellness platform to enable companies to register, track, monitor and reward employees for participation and completion of a range of health and wellness activities.
2009
BHS acquires Acadiana EAP of Lafayette, Louisiana, and establishes the BHS-South operations center to better serve customers in the Southern US.

2012
BHS acquires Raleigh Employee Assistance Program (REAP) Book of Business to expand the company footprint in North Carolina.

2016
BHS rebrands in a effort to refocus attention to the human aspects of our business. The new look and feel included logo and website redesign. We transform organizations by empowering individuals to reach their fullest potential.
2016
2016 - BHS acquires Raleigh Employee Assistance Program (Frank Horton Associates) Book of Business to expand the company footprint in North Carolina.
Today
With 70 employees and 50,000 subcontractors, BHS provides programs to over 425 organizations and is bettering the lives of 575,000 individuals globally.
